I'm Rebecca, founder of Empower Nutrition Counseling.

I am a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Nutritionist with over 15 years of experience providing nutrition counseling and education to clients. I have a passion for helping individuals heal their relationships with food and I specialize in the treatment of disordered eating as well as weight-inclusive medical nutrition therapy for individuals with diagnosed medical conditions.

I provide individualized, compassionate care and will work with you to help you reach your nutritional goals.

I am located in Bozeman, Montana and provide in-person dietitian appointments for clients located within the Bozeman area as well virtual dietitian appointments for clients located in Montana, South Dakota, Texas, and Colorado.

Medical Nutrition Therapy

Medical Nutrition Therapy is an evidenced-based approach to treating medical conditions through the use of a nutrition plan.

I provide weight-inclusive nutrition education and counseling for individuals looking for nutritional guidance with diagnosed medical conditions including diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, IBS, gastroparesis, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, SIBO, cancer, PCOS, and many more.

Eating Disorders

I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). I work with clients across the eating disorder diagnosis spectrum including binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, and eating disorders not otherwise specified. I will work with you to normalize your eating patterns and teach you how to fuel your body adequately. We will challenge food rules and fear foods and help you to develop a more peaceful relationship with food and your body.

Intuitive Eating

Do you have a history of yo-yo dieting that has left you feeling frustrated and hopeless? Do suffer from what you may call emotional eating? Are you ready to ditch the diet and get back to your true self? If so, intuitive eating may be for you.

Unfortunately we live in a society full of misinformation and misguided beliefs about food, nutrition, and health which can make knowing how to nourish our bodies very confusing! I can provide you with factual information to make navigating food choices easier.

New patient paperwork will be emailed to you for you to complete prior to your first appointment.

Virtual Initial Assessment

Your first appointment will be a 60-minute initial assessment completed via a HIPAA-compliant video call.

This will allow me to get to know you better and learn what your goals are for nutrition therapy. Together we will develop an individualized nutrition care plan.

Virtual Follow-Up Appointments

Follow-up appointments are 30-, 45-, or 60-minutes and completed via a HIPAA-compliant video call. The cadence of the appointments will depend on your specific needs. We will discuss progress with goals and update your nutrition care plan as necessary.

In-Person Appointments

In-person appointments are available for Bozeman, Montana area residents. Your first appointment will be a 60-minute initial assessment and follow-up appointments range from 30-60 minutes depending on your specific needs. All paperwork will need to be completed online prior to your initial appointment.
